Ancora delivers a unified sound, exploring a wide range of musical repertoire. We are classically trained female vocalists seeking to add adult female vocalists of all voice ranges.
Ancora rehearses weekly in Seattle on Thursday evenings from 7:30 to 9:30. Sectional rehearsals are typically held weekly as well, with flexible schedules.
Auditions generally take 30 minutes or less. They involve sight-reading and the performance of an a cappella piece of your choice. Preferred characteristics include previous musical experience, a focused tone with minimal vibrato and the flexibility for volume without compromising blend.
Audition appointments may be made for our Spring 2010 season.
